YouTube Lectures

UCBerkeley is using YouTube to host and deliver course lectures, visiting scholar events and marketing videos. Such a simple and useful vehicle.

Let's try this again.

I do think youtube and google video offer great ways to instruct. Esp with original materials.

My students have been finding them fun in discussion. Even in kts classes, they look better than vod. I used vod to show something in class a couple of weeks ago. Looked good on the computer, but was washed out in color on the student monitora and freeze framed way too often to be reliable. Also, there is no counter on vod. Hard for students to measure rates and shot lengths.

I wonder if there is any ability to customize the VOD player? I haven't looked at it much, but no counter is problematic. It's also probably difficult to scrub with VOD since it is streaming video.
